What is ToolKit?

ToolKit is $9/month to run a trade business. Your organization gets a contractor website with quotes and local search, job-site photos (upload on the website or shoot in the Toolkit app, with GPS and tags), and credentials (license tracking, reminders, and sharing). You sign up, then a chat sets up your company and website for the trade you actually do.

What is an organization?

Your organization is the top ToolKit account. People join it through memberships with roles: owner, admin, member, or viewer. You can belong to more than one organization in the system; today the product is built around one organization per user.

What can owners, admins, and members do?

Owners and admins use backend tools: building and editing the website, managing jobs and the photo library, seeing the company's credentials, inviting or removing the team, and billing. Regular members can capture job photos, create job sites, and edit or archive sites they created; they manage their own credentials, Home, and Settings (name, profile photo, and Delete account). Member Home includes a help bot that explains what they can set up and asks for a display name. Viewers have read-only access to jobs and credentials they are allowed to see. Admins and owners can see archived and deleted job sites.

How do team invites work?

Owners and admins send one HTTPS invitation link. Opening it loads Toolkit on the web, tries the app if it's installed, then stays on the website so the person can accept or sign in. Job and credential emails use the same bridge: they never dump you on a missing page. If you are signed out, you get a login prompt and then return to the job or credential. If they do not have a ToolKit account yet, the company invite can create a new user and add them to your organization. If they already have an account, accepting the invite joins them to the organization.

How do I delete my ToolKit account?

In Settings on the web or Profile in the Toolkit app, open Delete account. It is permanent: you will need a new account to use ToolKit again. Job sites, photos, and other company content you added stay with the organization. Owners and admins can also remove people from Team without deleting their login; company content still stays.

What products does ToolKit offer?

Three products sit on your account. Website: a contractor site with quote requests, on web and mobile. Job-site photos: add a job on the website, set the map and radius, upload pictures or take them in the Toolkit app, with GPS and tags. Credentials: photograph a license or cert, confirm the dates, get reminders, and share or export. Use one or all of them. The trial includes all three. After billing starts they stay together.

Do I have to use the website, job photos, and licenses?

No. The trial and the $9/month plan include all three. Use the website, job photos, licenses, or all of them.

Does ToolKit have a mobile app?

Yes. The Toolkit app is the phone path for quotes, job-site photos, and credentials. Home shows website, job photos, and credentials as tiles. Tap in, swipe back. Capture photos on site, photograph a license, and review quotes. Sign in with the same ToolKit account you use on the web. App Store and Google Play listings are coming.

How does the free trial work?

New organizations start with a 30-day free trial that includes the full suite: website, job-site photos, and credentials. After the trial, the suite is $9/month. Cancel anytime.

How do I get a custom subdomain?

Your site is automatically available at a subdomain based on your business (e.g. yourbusiness.toolkit.build). Custom domains may be available in the future.

Who owns the content on my site?

You retain ownership of your business information, images, job-site photos, and other content. By using ToolKit, you grant us the license needed to host and display your content. For full details, see our Terms of Service.

What data do you collect?

We collect account and organization data (including memberships and invites), website and quote/booking data, job-site photos and related location data if you use that product, and credential photos plus license details if you use credentials. Payment information is handled by our payment provider. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is my contractor site content AI-generated?

Some of it is. ToolKit automatically generates SEO-focused pages (per-service, per-area, FAQ, blog) using a third-party large language model based on the business information you provide. We instruct the model to stick to your inputs and avoid fabricating awards or credentials, and we apply automated checks. Generated copy is cached in our database and only re-runs through the model when your business information changes, not on every visit. The in-product assistant helps you configure and edit products after they exist; it does not create your organization. You are responsible for reviewing what appears on your site; you can update your business inputs to refresh the content, and we can disable AI-generated SEO pages for your account on request. Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard. The suite remains active until the end of your billing period.
